How working out has changed during quarantine

 

If you are like me and LOVE going to the gym for your workouts, you might be feeling that stress of how to manage fitting them in at home. First, I totally missed the boat on ordering weights or any gym equipment before they were all SOLD OUT! I mean Amazon Prime is killing me right now with unavailable, back in stock August of Neverary. Not to mention how embarrassed I am as a group fitness instructor with no weights at home. How did I let that happen?

Second, what workouts do I do now? I mean I have my own releases that I could practice, but part of the fun is working out with people (duh, I teach group fitness). Now I have to figure out what online workouts to do (thank goodness for FASTer Way at home workouts) that require little to no equipment. There are many options out there so find some that will motivate you and are your cup of tea. 

Now here is the kicker….what do I do with my kids? Honestly, I love going to the gym for many reasons. 1. I get to workout with people (my friends) 2. I get to use all of their equipment 3. I get to use the KIDS CLUB! I seriously love the kids club and so do my kids. Working out uninterrupted is my favorite. BUT, not during quarantine. So what do you do? Find a workout or activities to incorporate your kids and/or family.

We have taken many walks and beach days since this whole thing started (YAY for Florida living) and the extra family time has been a blessing. While I have been finding a good routine to get my regular workouts in (nap time or early AM sessions) I have also been getting my kiddos involved. It might not be what you are used to but find what works and make it fun! Because if we are being honest, our bodies are meant to move and any movement is better than none!
